Morphological, pathogenic and molecular characterization of fungal species associated with mango fruits in Mexico

The characterisation of the causal agents postharvest diseases, as well their pathogenicity in different mango cultivars economic importance Mexico was evaluated. In total, 37 fungi were isolated from diseased (Mangifera indica L.) cvs Ataulfo, Hayden, Manila, Peach, Haden and creole. For morphological characterization, isolates seeded potato dextrose agar media described by 4 variables. molecular DNA extraction performed using commercial Kit. amplification, primers ITS5 ITS4 used phylogenetic tree built RaxML. Six species identified, namely Aspergillus niger, Colletotrichum asianum, Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Neofusicoccum oculatum, Pestalotiopsis mangiferea Talaromyces variabilis. most abundant group genus Aspergillus, with an appearance frequency 0.35. Phylogenetic analysis showed that C. asianum P. mangiferae belong to families Glomerellaceae Pestalotiopsidaceae, respectively, whereas A. niger T. variabilis family Trichocomaceae. L. theobromae N. occulatum Botryosphaeriaceae. all demonstrated, except for contrast, pathogenic evaluated cultivars. Susceptibility each pathogen differed among cultivars, Creole susceptible   Key words: Cultivars, disease postharvest, Mangifera L., phylogenetics analysis.
